Ah Xian's new works at Vermillion

Internationally acclaimed Sydney-based artist Ah Xian is currently presenting a new suite of works on paper at Vermillion Art.


ACARI President, Dr Damian Smith has contributed an essay on the exhibition, which is available through Vermillion.


Born 1960, Beiing, China, Ah Xian lives and works Sydney, New South Wales. Ah Xian works with a diverse range of materials including concrete, resin-fibreglass, cloisonné, jade and Ox-bone inlay, bronze, porcelain and latex in the creation of his sculptures. His practice maintains an ongoing and unrestricted exploration of the human form as a cultural, historical and reflective entity.
