Aniwar Mamat's exhibition at Vermillion Gallery is a standout
Borderlands by Aniwar Mamat (b.1962) is the first Uyghur contemporary art exhibition in Australia. Aniwar was born in Kargilik, an ancient Silk Road oasis in China’s Xinjiang Province, where Turkic, Persian, Hindu, Buddhist, Shamanist cultural expressions intermingled.
