Unseen Grounds

We live less in the "now" than we think. Much of life happens off-stage, in the images we remember, the futures we rehearse, and the daydreams that steer our steps. Our brain is a creative navigator: the same internal system guides us when we observe, recall, imagine, or act. Imagination isn't an escape from reality but our default setting for moving through it. And while our inner pictures differ, we still find ways to share what we imagine, turning private thoughts into common ground. Unseen Grounds starts froma simple belief: imagination is a cardinal hallmark of human thought and a daily habit we all share. We may not all be constantly engaged in creative work, but we are all incessant visitors to imaginative worlds. In this group exhibition, participating artists Jessica Guo and Judy Kong stage a gentle place to reflect, to remember, and to test kinds possibilities alongside others.
